Dr. Mercogliano graduated from the University of Puget Sound with her Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy in 1988 and went on to graduate with her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2006. She earned her board certification in Orthopedics through the American Physical Therapy Association in 1994 and successfully re-certified in 2003 and 2013.

Melissa also has her certification in lymphedema management and is currently studying visceral manipulation through the Barral Institute.  She has completed testing and is now a Teaching Assistant for several courses due to her advanced skills.

 

Dr Mercogliano owned and operated a very successful private practice in Kitsap County, Washington, for over 20 years while also serving as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Puget Sound in the physical therapy program from 2006 to 2021.

Dr. Mercogliano is now focusing her attention on the most enjoyable part of her profession, treating patients and guiding them toward improving the quality of their life.

 

In her free time Melissa enjoys hiking, dog training, spending time with family and friends and most recently playing and improving her pickle ball skills.
